You should clean your humidifier weekly. Leave the Hygro + unplugged while cleaning. To clean the tank, pour 1 cup of water and 1 cup of bleach in the tank, shake it, rinse, and let it air dry). To clean the base, pour 1 cup of water + 1 cup of white vinegar in the base. Let it sit for 20 minutes. Rinse it and air dry.

Would not recommend

We purchased this cool mist humidifier as it was highly recommended from close friends. Worked great for 1 yr. Now does not produce mist whatsoever. Have tried cleaning unit and still no mist. Complete waste of money
We used this unit maybe 5 times and now we have an expensive nightlight.

Defective unit and over charged

I was charged significantly more than what was advertised on the website. The unit arrived defective and showed 104 F and 90 percent humidity in a 70f 20% room. Would not run. Either would state it was out of water then start working again or wouldn't turn on. Avoid this overpriced poorly built device.
